I can’t believe winter break is right around the corner! What better way to celebrate than with some holiday PE games. ⛄️
I wanted to put together a list of the best Christmas and Holiday PE Games for teachers who are teaching remote to hopefully make the next couple of weeks a little easier!
Since there have been so many creative ideas shared, it made this post extremely difficult to write. 😅
These holiday PE games are in no ranking order, but are here to provide new ideas and activities to other physical educators. I only posted one video from each channel, but many of them have several winter and holiday games that would easily make this list!
Deal or No Deal Winter Theme
By: Empowered with Ms. Jenny White
This Holiday PE game, puts your students in control! A dance move or exercise will pop up on the screen. Students will have to decide if they want to do that move. If they answer “yes, deal” that means they will do that move for 30 seconds. If they don’t want to do that dance or exercise, then they will say “no deal.” If a student chooses no deal, they will wait till the next slide pops up and will have to do the new move or exercise that is shown.
Christmas Word Challenge Fitness Workout
By: Online PE Coach Hayne
This is a perfect winter warm up activity that will definitely get you moving! For this game, you will look at the two pictures and try to guess what the word or phrase is. Correct answers will complete one exercises while incorrect answers will complete the other exercise.
Draw A Reindeer
By: Kelli Smith
I absolutely love these activities! For this holiday game, all you will need is a piece of paper and a pen or pencil. Before each round, you will pick a design. Next, you will do the dance or exercise associated with that design for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, you will have another 30 seconds to draw your design. You can always pause the video if you need more time to draw. The end product is one unique reindeer.
Holiday Fitness (Winter Would You Rather?)
By: Coach Meger Fitness Games
The popular game of Would You Rather is back, but this time it’s a holiday edition. Have your students choose between 2 different choices and then perform the exercises or dance moves that follow after them!
Yoga Freeze Dance Winter Edition
By: PE With Mr G
These are honestly my favorite type of games to create! The possibilities are endless and you can have a lot of fun with it. When the music starts you can dance along or come up with your own dance moves. When the music stops, you will look at the screen and hold the yoga pose for 15 seconds. Once the music starts again, you can unfreeze and start moving around. The yoga poses will progressively get harder as you play!
The Four Corners Fitness Challenge | Family Workout
By: Fitness Hustle TV
In order to play this virtual PE game you will need 4 pieces of papers so you can number the corners. You will have 10 seconds to go to one of the corners of the room before the time runs out. When the timers ends, the corners will reveal what is behind them. If the corner reveals a Christmas present, you will get 1 point for that round. If the corner reveals a trap, you will get 0 points for that round. After the presents and traps are revealed, there will be an exercise or dance that will be displayed in each corner. Perform the exercise or dance for 20 seconds before starting the new round!

Reading and exercising combined into one?! Say no more, I’m in! Students will be given 10 seconds to try and figure out which letter is missing from the word. After the time is up, they will perform the exercise that pops up above the letter they chose for 30 seconds.
